Professional Development Promotes Teaching Excellence

The mathematical background of the teacher is the number one
predictor of student success.

Moving with Math® evidence-based programs are supported
with a variety of professional development opportunities
and options to ensure that teachers have the knowledge,
expertise and confidence to lead successful math classrooms.

Daily Support

Teachers benefit from the daily support provided by the lightly-scripted lesson plans that help teachers guide students through the Concrete-Representational-Abstract (CRA) instruction.

Lessons are crafted to provide the teacher with engaging manipulative activities using proven strategies and best practices to ensure students’ conceptual understanding.

The Teacher Manual also provides guidance on how to evaluate the various built-in formative assessments to monitor student understanding and progress.

Moving with Math First Step PD

First Step PD develops teachers’ understanding of Moving with Math programs and how research-based CRA instruction builds students’ skills and confidence.

Teachers learn how to use the Moving with Math Learning System to support the development of their students’ understanding of all essential mathematical concepts from Pre-K through Algebra.

This training is complimentary on qualifying orders and can be done virtually or in person.

Moving with Math Coaching

Trained coaches work with school leaders, trainers and classroom teachers to build on the First Step PD experience, creating learning partnerships that are sustainable, data-driven, and customized to participants’ particular needs. These sessions can be done virtually or in person.
