WHERE: Chesapeake Public School District, Virginia WHO: 273 students in grades 6, 7, and 8 WHEN: Summer School PURPOSE: To use the Moving with Math ® Extensions program to help students’ math achievement Chesapeake Public School District, Virginia INCREASE IN STUDENTS PASSING The overall increase in students passing ranged from 311% in grade 8 to 813% in grade 7. The overall increase in students passing was 462%. The increase in mean scores ranged from 41% in grade 8 to 51% in grade 7. The average increase was 45%. INCREASE IN MEAN SCORES Seventy percent of students who did not pass the Pre-Test did pass the Post-Test. ????? 70% Passed CHANGE WITHIN THE NON-PASSING GROUP 7
