D5 Standards 47 Pre- Post- Level Skill Builders Test Test D5 Level D 5–13 48-1 to 48-4 14–16 49-1, 49-2 39–57 50-1 to 50-4 17–38 58-1 to 58-5 58–65 59-1, 59-2 68–70 66–67 60-1, 60-2 71–77 The Diagnostic-Prescriptive System The diagnostic-prescriptive system is based on the results of the Pre-and Post-Tests found inside the teacher kit, Math Capsules . The number of each problem on the Pre-Test matches the number of the objective being tested. After teachers administer and correct these tests, the results can be recorded on an individual record sheet or class record sheet. Teachers mark an X in the box under the number of each problem missed on the Pre-Test. The completed record sheet can be used to identify unmastered objectives within each level and prescribe the matching pages for each objective. Level D5: Integers & Algebra aligns to algebra objectives 48–50 and 58–60 in Level D. The objectives and teaching pages are listed in this table. Algebra Objectives D-48 Identify, graph, compare, order and solve word problems with integers. Know the meaning of the absolute value sign. D-49 Use the coordinate system to place a point or name its coordinates. D-50 Solve and graph 1- or 2-step linear equations and inequalities. Translate models, words and algebraic expressions. D-58 Add, subtract, multiply and divide with sets of integers and rational numbers. Solve word problems involving integers and rational numbers. D-59 Graph the solution for a linear equation with one or two variables and solve an inequality with one variable. Use the order of operations to evaluate expressions. D-60 Write an equation and graph a function with two variables. Find the slope of a line. Write and solve equations using data.
