Getting Ready Setting Up Your Internet Browsers You must make sure that your browsers have JavaScript enabled and that they will accept Cookies , otherwise your students will not be able to log in (cookies) or answer questions (JavaScript). Most modern browsers have a feature that automatically fills in forms based on previous information typed into the browser. This will cause issues because the browser will automatically enter previous usernames, passwords and even answers. To prevent this issue, please set up your browser as follows: In Macintosh OS X: • Firefox: Go to Firefox > Preferences. Click the “Security” icon. Under “Passwords,” uncheck the “Remember passwords for sites” option. • Safari: Go to Safari > Preferences. Click the “Autofill” tab. Uncheck all autofill options. • Chrome: Go to Tools > Preferences. Click “Never Save Passwords” and uncheck “Enable Autofill...” • Internet Explorer ( not recommended ): Go to Explorer > Preferences. Click the “Forms Autocomplete” option on the left hand side of the dialog box. Click the radio button next to “Disabled.” You must also add our URL (https://www.mwmassessment.com/ ) to the compatibility view list. In Windows: • Firefox: Go to Firefox > Options. Click the “Security” icon. Under “Passwords,” uncheck the “Remember passwords for sites” option. • Internet Explorer ( not recommended ): Go to Tools > Internet Options. Click the “Content” tab. Under Personal Information, select “AutoComplete.” Uncheck all boxes and click on the “Clear Forms” button. YOU MUST ALSO ADD OUR URL (https://www.mwmassessment.com/ ) TO THE COMPATIBILITY VIEW LIST. • Chrome: Go to Tools > Preferences. Click “Never Save Passwords” and uncheck “Enable Autofill...” • Netscape Navigator 8.0: Go to Tools > Options. Click the “Form Fill” tab on the left side of the screen. Select the “Datacards” tabs at the top of the window, and look in the area below. Under the “Details” tab, there is an option that states: “When I visit a site with forms:” Select “Do Nothing.” Next, click on the “Preferences” tab. Change “When I enter form information:” to “Do Nothing.” In Macintosh OS 9: • Internet Explorer: Go to File > Preferences. On the left hand side, select “Forms AutoComplete.” Click the circle next to “Disabled.” • Netscape Navigator: Go to File > Preferences. On the left hand side, click the arrow next to “Privacy & Security,” then click “Forms.” Uncheck the box next to “Save form data from web pages when completing forms.” Page 6
