Greatest Sum of Integers Divide the class intogroups of two, each with adeckof playing cardswith face cards removed. Twenty cards aredealt to each player. Theblack cardswill havepositive values and the red cardswill havenegative values. Players take turns turningover 5 cards at a time and adding the values shown. Example: -6 -5-4-3-2-1 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 loss of 5 gainof 9 – 5 + 7 – 9 + 2 – 4 sum= – 9 After eachplayerhas turnedover all 20 cards (ingroups of 5), players find the sumof their sums.
